Kasia Thesen

I’m an educator, entrepreneur, lifelong learner, and the founder of Pebble Yoga & Mindfulness. But more than anything, I’m someone who has always been curious about one question:

What helps people thrive?

That question continues to shape both my work and my life.

My Story

Growing up with idiopathic scoliosis taught me something I didn’t fully understand until much later.

Movement isn’t simply about the body.

It can shape confidence, resilience, self-awareness, and the way we experience ourselves and the world around us.

That experience sparked a lifelong curiosity about the relationship between movement, learning, and human development.

Today, it continues to influence the way I teach, parent, and learn.

My Journey

My path has taken me through education, entrepreneurship, business leadership, and community building.

At first glance, those experiences may seem unrelated… however, looking back, I see a common thread. Each one deepened my appreciation for people, relationships, learning, and the environments that help individuals and communities flourish.

Eventually, those experiences came together in Pebble.

Why Pebble

Pebble was never just about yoga.

It was created from a desire to help children and youth develop the awareness, confidence, resilience, and connection that support them throughout life—and to support the parents, educators, and communities walking alongside them.

I believe learning doesn’t happen only in the mind.

It happens through the whole person.

Movement, mindfulness, curiosity, relationships, and play all have an important role to play.

Beyond Pebble

When I’m not teaching or creating new programs, you’ll often find me spending time with my family, walking the trails of the Okanagan, reading, asking questions, or exploring new ideas in education, child development, neuroscience, and human thriving.

I’m endlessly inspired by children, nature, meaningful conversations, and the reminder that we’re all still learning.
